Session 5: Supporting your loved one if some cognitive decline

25/05/2022 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

As part of the WellBEING Seminar series for carers and support persons, Parkinson’s ACT OT is facilitating an information session on:

Supporting your loved one if some cognitive decline

If the person you care for has cognitive decline, your role as a Caregiver can be both demanding and challenging. Dementia Australia can help in many ways, including helping you support the person to live well at home for as long as possible; support the person to continue with their hobbies, activities and interests; learn about dementia, so you’re better equipped to manage changes; and access support services and programs to maintain your health and wellbeing. This seminar will give you an overview of the services offered by Dementia Australia, and also provide you with information and strategies on the best way to care for someone who has cognitive decline.

Presentation ends by 11am, morning tea and casual discussion to follow until 12pm
