The following is a partial list of Allied Health Providers offering services in Canberra.  It is in the process of being constructed.  Parkinson's ACT makes no recommendation.  We are simply trying to make it easier for you to find help.

Cerebral Palsy Alliance

 

Cerebral Palsy Alliance (CPA) treats a broad range of physical and neurological conditions including Parkinson’s Disease (PD). Their services include physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and exercise physiology. They offer one-on-one therapy, group therapy and hydrotherapy. Their therapists have training in both PD Warrior and LSVT Loud. They can also provide equipment prescription, home modification recommendations, and training and support for families and care staff.

Momentum Sports & Rehabilitation

Momentum Sports and Rehabilitation Services has been running a high level PD class for several years.  The one-hour class is based on LSVT BIG and includes a large amount of assessment and feedback by a Neurological Physiotherapist. The second half of the class progresses to strength and balance training targeted to individual needs. The class is run by Debbie Douglas who has nearly 30 years experience in rehabilitation and has a special interest in neurology.
